چکیده
The impact of surgical resection on the long-term outcome GIST patients with initially diagnosed synchronous hepatic metastases in targeted therapy era is still uncertain. This study aimed to investigate role hepatectomy treatment aforementioned and establish clinical predictive models for assessing prognosis these patients. We identified data from Surveillance, Epidemiology End Results (SEER) between 2010 2018. selection bias comparisons was minimized through performing propensity score matching (PSM). risk factors associated cancer-specific survival (CSS) overall (OS) were by a Cox proportional hazards model thus established nomograms. Of eligible patients, there 187(32.3%) 336(32.3%) non-surgical groups, respectively. proportion treated increased over time (p=0.014). Multivariate analysis revealed that independent prognostic OS ((hazard ratio [HR] 0.62; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.44–0.88), p=0.0068) CSS (HR 0.51; CI 0.33 - 0.77, p=0.0016). After PSM, it found showed significantly improved (5-year 54.9% vs 38.8%, p = 0.028) 65.8% 50.3%, p=0.077). In addition, two nomogram demonstrated good discrimination. has favorable liver metastases. newly nomograms displayed remarkable prediction performance CSS.

Synchronous sporadic gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the colon.
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract originating from the cell of Cajal [1]. Up to 75% of cases are driven by constitutional activation of the proto-oncogene cKIT; 10% by a mutation of the gene encoding for the platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFRA); 12% are wild-type and their pathogenesis has been related to mutations of t...
متن کاملShort- and Long-Term Outcomes of Laparoscopic Versus Open Resection for Gastric Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors
Published reports on laparoscopic resection of gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) were limited to small experiences and selection bias. Two hundred fourteen patients who underwent primary gastric GIST resection at our institution (January 2006-December 2012) were identified from a prospectively collected database. Laparoscopic resections (LAP) were performed in 133 patients, and open...
متن کاملNegative impact of surgical site infection on long-term outcomes after hepatic resection for colorectal liver metastases.
BACKGROUND Postoperative infectious complications are associated with a poor long-term prognosis after resection of malignant tumors. We hypothesized that postoperative infectious complication such as surgical site infection (SSI) may have a negative impact on the outcome of elective hepatic resection for colorectal liver metastases (CRLM), and that the Glasgow prognostic score (GPS), which ref...
متن کاملGastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the colon.
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Although they may arise anywhere of GI tract, colonic presentation is infrequent. We report 2 new cases of colonic GISTs localized at descending and sigmoid colon. Endoscopic biopsies were diagnostic for GISTs and no distant metastasis were observed. Both cases underwent resective ...
